What Is Gas Delivery?
Gas delivery is bringing a small amount of fuel to a car that ran dry. We pour enough into your tank to get you to the next gas station, where you can fill up. We carry regular gasoline. If your car takes diesel, tell dispatch when you call.
After an empty tank, some cars need a few tries to start while the fuel pump primes. The driver stays until your engine runs.

Signs You Need Gas Delivery
- The fuel gauge is on empty and the engine sputtered and stopped
- The low fuel light was on for a long time
- Your car cranks but will not start after running low
- The gauge is broken and you are not sure how much is left
- You are stuck on a highway with no station in walking distance
Gas Delivery Options
If your car will not start after we add fuel, the problem may be the battery or fuel pump. We can try a Battery Jump Start, or tow you with Flatbed Towing. Electric car out of charge? See EV Towing. On a busy highway, the call is handled as Emergency Towing. If you put the wrong fuel in, do not start the car. We will tow it to a shop.
Running Out of Gas in North Texas
Long commutes are normal here. A drive from Princeton to North Dallas, or from Mesquite to the Galleria, can take an hour or more in traffic. Stop-and-go on LBJ and I-30 burns more fuel than the gauge suggests.
Summer heat makes it worse. Sitting in traffic with the air conditioner on uses fuel even when you are not moving. In storms and holiday rush, stations can be busy or closed.
What to Expect When We Arrive
- The driver parks to protect your car from traffic.
- We add fuel to your tank.
- We help start the car and check that it stays running.
- You drive to the nearest station to fill up.
What to Do While You Wait
- Pull as far off the road as you can and turn on hazards.
- Do not walk along the highway to find gas.
- Tell dispatch your fuel type: regular, premium or diesel.
- Keep the car off to save the battery.
Gas Delivery Cost
Gas delivery costs less than a tow. The price includes the service call, and the fuel may be billed separately. Call dispatch for a quote. Many insurance and warranty plans cover fuel delivery.
Who Calls for Gas
Commuters who pushed the low fuel light too far. Drivers in rental cars or borrowed cars with unfamiliar gauges. Delivery and rideshare drivers between shifts. Travelers passing through on I-20, I-30 or US-380.
