What Is Parking Garage Towing?
Parking garage towing is getting a car out of a garage where a normal tow truck cannot go. Many garages have ceilings around 7 feet. A flatbed truck is much taller than that. So we use a low-profile wheel-lift unit, wheel dollies and skates to move the car to the exit. Then we load it onto a flatbed on the street or in an open lot.
This is common in office towers, apartment buildings, hospitals, hotels and malls. North Dallas near the Galleria and the Dallas North Tollway has many large garages close to our Noel Road location.

Signs You Need a Garage Tow
- Your car will not start on a lower garage level
- The garage has a posted clearance under 8 feet
- The car has a flat and you cannot change it in the space
- The car is parked tight between pillars or other cars
- The parking brake or transmission is locked
- Building staff asked you to move a dead car
Garage Towing Options
Once your car is out of the garage, we finish the trip with Flatbed Towing. If the problem is a dead battery, try a Battery Jump Start first. Garages are hard on batteries in the summer heat. For flats, a Flat Tire Change may fix it on the spot. Locked out in a garage? See Car Lockout. Electric cars need extra care, covered on our EV Towing page. Low sports cars are covered on Exotic Towing.
Garages Around Our Locations
Our Dallas location on Noel Road sits among office towers and the garages that serve them, plus large mall and hotel decks near LBJ Freeway. Garland, Mesquite and Princeton have more apartment garages and covered lots every year. Each garage has its own ramps, turns and height limits.
Tight spiral ramps, speed bumps and gate arms all affect how we move your car. Before we come, dispatch asks for the garage name, level and space number. If the garage needs a pass or gate code, tell us so the driver can get in.
What to Expect When We Arrive
- The driver checks the garage height and the path to the exit.
- We try a jump start or tire change if that could fix the problem.
- If not, we lift the car with a low-profile wheel-lift or put it on dollies.
- We move it slowly down the ramps to street level.
- We load it onto a flatbed and take it to your shop, dealer or home.
How to Get Ready
- Write down the garage address, level and space number.
- Ask building security if the tow truck needs a pass.
- Have your keys ready. Steering and transmission locks make the move harder without them.
- Take your parking ticket or pay the exit fee so the gate opens.
Parking Garage Towing Cost
Garage tows take more time and gear than a street tow. The cost depends on the garage level, how tight the space is, whether the car rolls and where it goes after. Call with the details and we will quote it before we come.
Who Uses Garage Towing
Office workers whose cars died during the workday. Apartment residents with a car that has not moved in weeks. Property managers clearing abandoned cars with the owner's OK. Hotel guests and shoppers stuck at the mall. Hospital visitors who came back to a dead battery.
Why Drivers Choose Towvana for Garage Tows
We bring the right gear the first time, because dispatch asks about the garage before we roll. Our Dallas location sits in the heart of the North Dallas office district. We give you a price up front and move your car with care on tight ramps.
