What Is Forklift Towing?
Forklift towing is moving a forklift from one site to another on a flatbed tow truck. Forklifts are heavy for their size because of the counterweight in the back. They have small solid tires and are not built for streets. So they ride on the deck, chained down at the frame tie points the maker provides.
We move warehouse forklifts, small rough-terrain forklifts and pallet trucks within the light and medium duty range. Tell us the make, model and weight when you call.

Signs You Need Forklift Transport
- Your forklift broke down and needs to go to a repair shop
- You are moving to a new warehouse
- You rented or bought a forklift and need it delivered
- A job site needs a forklift for a few weeks
- You are selling a forklift and the buyer needs it moved
- The forklift is stuck and cannot be driven onto a trailer

Warehouses Around Our Locations
North Texas is one of the busiest freight hubs in the country. Warehouses line I-635 through Garland and Mesquite, I-20 in southeast Dallas County and US-380 near Princeton. Our Mesquite and Garland locations sit close to many of these sites.
New distribution centers keep going up as the area grows. That means a steady need to move forklifts from dealers, between buildings and to repair shops. We can often schedule moves before a shift starts or after it ends.
What to Expect When We Arrive
- Tell dispatch the make, model, weight, mast height and fuel type.
- The driver checks the loading area and the path to the truck.
- If the forklift runs, an operator drives it up the ramp. If not, we winch it.
- We lower the forks, set the brake and chain the frame at the tie points.
- We deliver it to the new site and unload where you need it.
How to Get Ready
- Have a trained operator on site if the forklift runs.
- Lower the mast fully and tilt it back.
- Close propane tank valves, or remove the tank if your policy calls for it.
- Clear a flat, open space for the flatbed to back in.
- Have a contact on site at drop-off.
Forklift Towing Cost
The cost depends on the forklift's weight and size, the distance and the loading conditions at each end. A forklift that does not run takes more time to winch. Call with the details for a quote.
