What Is Toolbox Transport?
Toolbox transport is moving large rolling tool chests, the kind mechanics and techs keep in their bays. A full top-and-bottom setup can weigh more than a thousand pounds. It is tall, top heavy and full of tools that cost more than the box. It needs to stay upright and locked during the move.
We roll the chest onto the flatbed deck, block the wheels and strap it from several sides so it cannot tip or slide.

Signs You Need Toolbox Transport
- You are a mechanic starting at a new shop
- You bought a used tool chest and need it delivered
- Your shop is moving to a new building
- You are moving a chest into or out of a home garage
- The box is too heavy or too tall for a pickup
- You want the tools to stay inside during the move
Toolbox Transport Options
We move tool chests on Flatbed Towing trucks. If your shop is moving other gear, see Equipment Transport and Forklift Towing. Storage boxes and small containers go through Container Transport. If a shop vehicle needs to come too, ask about Box Truck Towing.
Shops Around North Texas
Dealer service departments, independent repair shops and fleet garages are spread across Dallas, Garland, Mesquite and the growing towns around Princeton. Techs often change shops and need their boxes moved fast so they can start work.
Moves often happen on a weekend or after closing. Tell dispatch your timing and we will work to fit it.
What to Expect When We Arrive
- Tell dispatch the brand, size and rough weight of the chest.
- The driver checks the path from the bay to the truck.
- We roll the chest onto the tilted deck, slowly and with help as needed.
- We block the casters and strap the chest from several angles.
- We unload at the new shop and roll it where you want it.
How to Get Your Toolbox Ready
- Lock every drawer and the lid. Tape drawers shut if the lock is weak.
- Move the heaviest tools to the bottom drawers if you can.
- Unbolt the top box from the bottom if the maker says to.
- Clear a flat path with no steps or gaps.
- Have someone at the new shop to show us the spot.
Toolbox Transport Cost
The cost depends on the chest size and weight, the distance and how easy the path is at each end. Steps, gravel or tight doors add time. Call dispatch for a quote.
Who Uses Toolbox Transport
